Good Morning Rose Community,
Fall Festival - Rose will be having a fall festival this Thursday, October 30, from 5-7 pm. There will be crafts, themed tables with treats, food trucks, fall photo ops, a Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, and much more. Costumes are optional for students, but guidelines on costumes need to be adhered. Costumes are optional for students, but guidelines on costumes need to be adhered to; no masks, fake blood, gore, or weapons. Students must be able to move freely and be safe. IMPORTANT… There will be no parking available in the main parking lot due to the food trucks. There will be some in the back lot only. If you park in the neighborhood surrounding Rose, please be respectful of our neighbors and do not block their driveways.
Halloween/Costumes - This coming Friday, October 31, 2025 is our next School Spirit Day at Rose. This is an optional activity. Students will have the opportunity to either wear costumes to school or dress in Orange and Black. For those students participating in wearing costumes, the following are mandatory expectations: NO weapons, NO fake blood or gore, NO masks, and students must be able to participate in all school activities. This includes, but is not limited to: P.E., Recess, and Lunch.
Time to Change the Clocks! - It’s hard to believe but… next Sunday, November 2, 2025, we will be “FALLING BACK” for Day Light Savings. Please remember to set your clocks back by one hour.
Students in Grades 3-5 - Students grades 3 - 5 and their families are invited to join us for some exciting opportunities to Get Out In Nature with our partners Nature Collective.These memorable weekend outings include nature hikes, moments for quiet reflection and nature journaling, wildlife investigation, and fun, hands-on engagements for the whole family.
The Get Out In Nature program is completely free with registration and includes transportation to/from our school site. Our first event is happening on Saturday, November 8th from 8:30 am - 1:15 pm.

From the Nurse - Does your student have a doctor's note with activity restrictions? Please email the Dr note to our Nurse at otanzillo@eusd.org or roseenrollment@eusd.org. If you have any additional questions/concerns, call our health office to speak to the nurse at 760-432-2495. Office Hours: 7:30-4:00 pm. Does your student require medication during school or on field trips? Please ask your doctor to complete the Medication Authorization Form in its entirety (ex: Medication, Dose, Route, Time, Diagnosis) and return to the health office with the prescribed medication.
Yearbooks! - The Yearbook EXPLORE Class, will be selling the yearbook at the Fall Festival next Thursday, October 30th. We will be doing cash sales and we will have our iPads available to help families with online purchases. If families are planning to purchase with cash, the cost is $18 (softcover) and $22 (hardcover) and they will need to pay with exact cash since we cannot provide change. If they choose to purchase online, they will get to enjoy the Fall discount on either option. Fall festival will be the last opportunity to take advantage of this discount since it ends on October 31st.
Volunteer POD - Parents, we need your help. We are once again starting up our weekly Volunteer POD. This will take place on Wednesdays, in room 24. Volunteering your time impacts our school community in amazing ways! We hope you will be able to join us starting at 8:00 AM.
Parking Lot Exit - As a reminder, during arrival and dismissal, drivers may only turn right out of our school parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation and support regarding this very important expectation.
Join our PTA! - Our fabulous PTA needs your support! Membership is $10 per family and flyers were sent home last week. The PTA, or the Parent Teacher Association, is a network of parents, teachers, administrators, and community volunteers devoted to the educational success of our students and the promotion of family engagement in our school. The PTA sponsors and organizes family events, plans fundraisers, and funds programs such as art assemblies. In every endeavor, our PTA volunteers work together to enrich the lives of our students.
Breakfast and Lunch Menus: All EUSD students have access to no-cost breakfast and lunch. Families can view our new online menus. Select your school and menu to see what is being served every day.
