Make A Splash - Rose Logo

Good Afternoon Rose Families,

Fall Festival - Thank you to our wonderful families, to our PTA, and to our School Staff for making our Fall Festival a HUGE success!

Time Change - Please ensure your clocks are updated for Daylight Savings Time!  We fell back an hour today, November 2, 2025.

November is the Month of Gratitude  - Each week, we are highlighting part of our school community. This week it is our students - the whole reason we are here everyday! Walking in classrooms each day, we are grateful to see our students working hard, showing resilience, and demonstrating growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Keep up the great work Dolphins!

Celebrate Día de Los Muertos in Escondido! - The YMCA Expanded Learning Program invites families to a vibrant open-air festival honoring loved ones who have passed away and celebrating the beautiful traditions of Mexico. This free community event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Escondido YMCA (1050 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025). The evening will bring together music, dance, and art in the heart of Escondido, featuring colorful altars, face painting, arts and crafts, and performances by Escondido Union School District students and Orange Glen High School dancers, along with Aztec dancers, Mariachi music, and much more.

Get Out in Nature Program (GOIN) for Students in Grades 3-5 - Students grades 3 - 5 and their families are invited to join us for some exciting opportunities to Get Out In Nature with our partners Nature Collective. These memorable weekend outings include nature hikes, moments for quiet reflection and nature journaling, wildlife investigation, and fun, hands-on engagements for the whole family. The Get Out In Nature program is completely free with registration and includes transportation to/from our school site. Our first event is happening on Saturday, November 8th from 8:30 am - 1:15 pm. To learn more about this opportunity and/or to register, click on this link.

From the Nurse - Does your student have a doctor's note with activity restrictions? Please email the Dr note to  our Nurse at otanzillo@eusd.org or roseenrollment@eusd.org. If you have any additional questions/concerns, call our health office to speak to the nurse at 760-432-2495. Office Hours: 7:30-4:00 pm. Does your student require medication during school or on field trips? Please ask your doctor to complete the Medication Authorization Form in its entirety (ex: Medication, Dose, Route, Time, Diagnosis) and return to the health office with the prescribed medication.

Yearbooks! - The Yearbook EXPLORE Class, will be selling the yearbook at the Fall Festival next Thursday, October 30th. We will be doing cash sales and we will have our iPads available to help families with online purchases. If families are planning to purchase with cash, the cost is $18 (softcover) and $22 (hardcover) and they will need to pay with exact cash since we cannot provide change. If they choose to purchase online, they will get to enjoy the Fall discount on either option. Fall festival will be the last opportunity to take advantage of this discount since it ends on October 31st.

Volunteer POD - Parents, we need your help. We are once again starting up our weekly Volunteer POD. This will take place on Wednesdays, in room 24. Volunteering your time impacts our school community in amazing ways! We hope you will be able to join us starting at 8:00 AM.

Parking Lot Exit - As a reminder, during arrival and dismissal, drivers may only turn right out of our school parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation and support regarding this very important expectation.

Join our PTA! - Our fabulous PTA needs your support! Membership is $10 per family and flyers were sent home last week.  The PTA, or the Parent Teacher Association, is a network of parents, teachers, administrators, and community volunteers devoted to the educational success of our students and the promotion of family engagement in our school. The PTA sponsors and organizes family events, plans fundraisers, and funds programs such as art assemblies.  In every endeavor, our PTA volunteers work together to enrich the lives of our students.

Breakfast and Lunch Menus:  All EUSD students have access to no-cost breakfast and lunch.  Families can view our new online menus.  Select your school and menu to see what is being served every day.

That is all for now - have a great week!
