Rose School - Make A Splash

At Rose School we work collectively to build an inclusive community which provides students with opportunities for choice, self-expression, and ownership of their academic and social learning.

ROSE VISION

By nurturing passions and promoting creativity we aim to build a collaborative community that values academic excellence while empowering individuals to make a meaningful impact on the world.

ArtBox Fundraiser/Order Forms - ArtBox order forms have arrived! Your student created an artwork masterpiece in class and each art piece was sent to ArtBox where they carefully produced a high-resolution scan of each masterpiece to be displayed on any of their quality products. There are many keepsakes to choose from such as keychains, mugs, coasters, aprons, tote bags, travel mugs, and many more.  Order forms were sent home with your student last Friday, so please take a look at the keepsakes.  All orders are due back to the school office by March 24.  If you have any questions, please contact the office.

FROM THE NURSE:

  • Breakfast/Healthy Habits -  Studies show that eating breakfast regularly improves attendance, raises test scores, enhances concentration, and lowers behavioral issues in the classroom. The phrase "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" isn't just a saying; it produces better brain function, memory, and attention, giving kids energy to start their day.  Parents, if you are running late to drop off your student in the mornings and your student will not have time to sit and eat breakfast in the cafeteria, please remind them to stop by the breakfast grab-n-go cart in front of the school office/lunch tables to get a breakfast snack on their way to class. We want to ensure students are learning at their best!

  • Water/hydration - Please ensure your student has a water bottle with the increase in temperatures coming.  Staff encourages students to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

  • Medications, Illnesses, or Questions - If your student requires medications, is sick, or you have questions for our nurse, please do not hesitate to reach out by contacting the office.

Lost & Found - Our lost and found is overflowing again.  If your student is missing sweaters or jackets, please have them check the lost and found or stop by to check the cart.  Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of March.

Early Education Enrollment is OPEN - New Student Enrollment is now open for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Special Education Preschool. EUSD offers a full-day Transitional Kindergarten program to bridge the path between Preschool and Kindergarten. For the 2026-2027 school year, children are eligible for TK if their date of birth is between September 2, 2021, and September 1, 2022. Students applying for Kindergarten must be age 5 on or before September 1, 2026. Students in EUSD TK and Kindergarten programs are eligible to participate in their school’s optional Expanded Learning program. The Expanded Learning program provides before-and after-school student care, from 6:30 a.m. to the morning bell and from the dismissal bell to 6:00 p.m. To find your neighborhood school of residence, use our online school locator tool. For questions regarding Special Education Preschool or about your student’s Special Education needs for next school year, contact the team at spedsupport@eusd.org.

Resources for Food Assistance - We want to make sure families are aware of local resources that offer free food and support for those who may need it. Here are a few options available in our community:

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help connecting with these resources.

Safe Driving/Neighbor Driveways - Parents, we have seen an increase in families not adhering to the speed limits, traffic signals, and parking lot signs in and around the school in addition to drivers blocking the driveways of our school neighbors.  It is imperative for everyone’s safety that you safely drive to school and be respectful of the homes of our neighbors.

Parking Lot Exit - As a reminder, during arrival and dismissal, drivers may only turn right out of our school parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation and support regarding this very important expectation.

Volunteer POD - Parents, we need your help. We are once again starting up our weekly Volunteer POD. This will take place on Wednesdays, in room 24. Volunteering your time impacts our school community in amazing ways! We hope you will be able to join us starting at 8:00 AM.

Join our PTA! - Our fabulous PTA needs your support! Membership is $10 per family and flyers were sent home last week.  The PTA, or the Parent Teacher Association, is a network of parents, teachers, administrators, and community volunteers devoted to the educational success of our students and the promotion of family engagement in our school. The PTA sponsors and organizes family events, plans fundraisers, and funds programs such as art assemblies.  In every endeavor, our PTA volunteers work together to enrich the lives of our students.

Breakfast and Lunch Menus:  All EUSD students have access to no-cost breakfast and lunch.  Families can view our new online menus.  Select your school and menu to see what is being served every day.

That is all for now - have a great week!
