ROSE MISSION
At Rose School we work collectively to build an inclusive community which provides students with opportunities for choice, self-expression, and ownership of their academic and social learning.
ROSE VISION
By nurturing passions and promoting creativity we aim to build a collaborative community that values
academic excellence while empowering individuals to make a meaningful impact on the world.
Good Afternoon Rose Community,
September is Attendance Awareness Month - Here in EUSD, you already know our motto: Every Day Counts! Every day your child walks through our doors is another opportunity to learn something new, connect with friends and teachers, build confidence, and be part of their school community. Simply put, when students are in our schools, great things happen.
We know there will be days when students are sick and need to stay home; that’s part of life! But missing just two days of school each month adds up to about 10 percent of the school year and can make it harder for students to keep up academically and stay connected to their school community.
When our students are absent, we miss them! Each student is an important part of their classroom and school community, and being at school each day helps them stay connected, engaged, and ready to learn.
As part of our commitment to supporting regular attendance and keeping families informed, this is the second year EUSD will use automated absence notification calls for all students in TK through 8th grade. Families will receive an automated phone call at 10:15 a.m. on any day their student is marked absent from school. This districtwide process helps us provide families with consistent, timely attendance information.
If getting your child to school regularly or on time becomes a challenge, please reach out to your school. We have resources available and people ready to help. We’re all on the same team when it comes to helping our students succeed.
Thank you for partnering with us to get our students to school, on time and ready to learn. Show up, connect, learn, grow…and remember: Every Day Counts in EUSD!
Fall EXPLORE After School! - EUSD is proud to offer a wide variety of FREE after-school enrichment and intervention classes, called EXPLORE classes, at all in-person schools. Our goal is to give students opportunities to learn, create, and grow beyond the school day while helping them EXPLORE their unlimited potential. There is a variety of classes to choose from like flag rugby and soccer to creative experiences in theatre, music, and dance, to hands-on STEM adventures, there truly is something for everyone. Classes are taught by both EUSD teachers and community vendors, bringing students a mix of familiar faces and new experts to learn from. Each school has its own menu of classes. The interest form with the QR code was sent home with your student last week. If you have questions or need another copy, just check in with our school office, and we will be happy to help. Classes begin September 14 through November 18, 2026. All permission slips will be going home on Monday, August 31 - but remember there is still time to sign up!

Breakfast and Lunch Menus: All EUSD students have access to no-cost breakfast and lunch. Families can view our new online menus. Select your school and menu to see what is being served every day.
Tardies - A wonderful new school year just began and we need your support as we are experiencing many students arriving late. It is vital that students arrive at school on time. Arriving late a few minutes makes an impact as they miss out on key instructional time and missed opportunities such as breakfast and classroom routines at the start of the day. In addition, as part of our Every Day Counts attendance campaign, students with outstanding attendance help their class earn rewards and are entered into drawings for prizes. Please make an extra effort to ensure they are dropped off on time. We thank you in advance for your support.
Parking Lot Exit - As a reminder, during arrival and dismissal, drivers may only turn right out of our school parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation and support regarding this very important expectation.
Join our PTA! - Our fabulous PTA needs your support! Membership is $10 per family and flyers were sent home last week. The PTA, or the Parent Teacher Association, is a network of parents, teachers, administrators, and community volunteers devoted to the educational success of our students and the promotion of family engagement in our school. The PTA sponsors and organizes family events, plans fundraisers, and funds programs such as art assemblies. In every endeavor, our PTA volunteers work together to enrich the lives of our students.
Serving on School Committees - Parents, are you interested in getting involved in any of our school committees? We have a variety of committees that need parent support. Here are a few of them:
*School Site Council (SSC) - The School Site Council is a shared decision making body composed of parents, classroom teachers, other personnel, and the Principal. School Site Councils are required by the State of California to oversee our school's Site Plan and Title I budgets. Its main responsibility is to monitor the School Site Plan which reflects our school's educational goals and its main strategies for achieving those goals for all of its students. Members of the School Site Council are elected by a nomination process and generally serve a two-year term.
*English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) - The primary purpose of ELAC is to advise the school principal and school staff regarding the instructional programs and support services for English Learners. ELAC is also responsible for advising the School Site Council (SSC) and reviewing the Site Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
*Community Schools Advisory Committee - The CSAC is an advisory group that weighs in on implementing the community school model and collaborates with district staff, students, families and community members. They will oversee the implementation of the EUSD Community School Implementation Grants awarded by the California Department of Education (CDE).
Stay Connected - The EUSD mobile app is your one-stop shop for messaging teachers, receiving classroom updates, and keeping up with school and district news and events. The free “EUSD Escondido CA” app is available for download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Simply sign in using your phone number or email address. See the Rooms Resources for Families page (English) | Rooms Resources for Families page (Spanish) for step-by-step instructions. Returning families must update to the latest version of the app, either by deleting and reinstalling it or by updating through your app store.
